Even though most businesses are remaining closed due to weather, some businesses say being open brought them more customers
MACON, Ga. — After snow covered much of Central Georgia, many businesses stayed closed due to weather concerns. But for the La Parrilla Mexican restaurant, and the Longleaf Distillery, they chose to remain open and serve the community in Macon.
La Parilla manager Adriana Rico says even though roads were icy, her team wanted to make sure their customers received a warm welcome.
“We always receive their support, and I think we can return a few days like today so we can show how appreciative we are,” Rico said.
And for Longleaf Distillery, Sean McMahon says this is the most business they’ve seen in weeks.
“We didn’t expect too many people to come out, but honestly even with the snow, we’ve had more people today already … in the last 45-minutes then we’ve had most Wednesdays in the last few …
