One way fans can connect with their favorite athletes is through social media — well, as long as the athletes are on fans’ platforms of choice.
Yet while social media has its positives, it also comes with plenty of negatives, and that can be mentally draining for both fans and athletes alike. Indeed, the negative side of social media led Lakers star LeBron James to declare his intent to take a break from social media.
