State and city road crews are working all over the Piedmont Triad and statewide in North Carolina to plow snow-covered icy roads. The North Carolina Department of Transportation said Friday that they used more than 3 million gallons of brine to pretreat hundreds of roads and highways across the state. They’re also equipped with more than 600 trucks with plows and spreaders and more than 300 motor graders working to remove snow and ice. “Please don’t try to drive.
