When is the Knoxville Sunflower Festival? [Video]

Thousands of blooming sunflowers will be showcased at the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency’s Forks of the River.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Get ready for a day filled with yellow as Legacy Parks announced the bi-annual Knoxville Sunflower Festival will return on Saturday, July 13. The event is from 9 a.m. to noon.

The free festival will showcase thousands of blooming sunflowers at the Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area, according to Legacy Parks

Other events include bike rides, hourly guided hikes and food trucks at Ijams Quarries. You can use a free loaner bike from Kickstand Community Bike Shop and tour from the Will Skelton Greenway. Bikes will be set up in the parking lot inside FRWMA.

McClure Lane will be closed that day for local traffic and parking for people with disabilities. There will be a $5 charge for limited parking at Ijams Nature Center and Ijams Quarries.
