West Lafayette Mental Health Executive Receives Statewide Award | Local [Video]

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — West Lafayette mental health executive Pushpa Toppo received the “Indiana Outstanding Professional Award” from National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization.

Toppo is the Founder, President, and CEO of the Ankit Foundation Corp., a West-Lafayette-based nonprofit focused on increasing awareness and promoting positive change in mental health care.

She founded the organization in 2022 with her daughter Rachel in memory of her son, Ankit Toppo.

The award is provided for her work in mental health, spreading mental health awareness, removing stigma, advocating for inpatient facilities for mental health, and spreading mental health resources through Indiana Mental Health resources app- “Ankit’s Hope”.
