West Allis-West Milwaukee School District leaders are asking taxpayers to fund pay raises and create better conditions for students.On Saturday, West Allis-West Milwaukee school staff and community volunteers canvassed the neighborhood to make sure people are aware of the questions on the referendum. “It’s really important that we’re out here just informing families,” Connie Berman with the West Allis-West Milwaukee School District said. People who canvassed the area passed out door hangers. The goal is to make people aware of the two questions in the referendum.
