When one wedding guest planned to attend an out-of-state ceremony, they expected the usual details—date, time and location—well in advance.
Instead, they discovered through a social media post that the bride had known this information for months, but had chosen not to share it with out-of-town guests.
The revelation, which was discussed in a Reddit thread this week, left many questioning whether the bride’s decision was a simple oversight, or a deliberate strategy to cut down the guest list.
‘Picking fights’
The original poster (OP), aka user Kitchen-Bend-5584, noted that when they confronted the bride about the lack of information, she became defensive, insisting that it was “her day” and that guests should simply make arrangements on short notice.
The OP, whose husband was a friend of the bride, explained that the bride had long disliked them and seemed to be provoking arguments with guests as a way to reduce attendance without directly rescinding invitations.
