Weather expert gives update on fresh ‘storm risk’ as models ‘in agreement’ as low pressure heads towards Ireland [Video]

IRELAND could still be hit with a storm next week – with weather models “in more agreement” as low pressure tracks towards the country.

Forecaster Alan O’Reilly of Carlow Weather took to social media to issue an update for his followers.

He said on X: “Weather models in more agreement on latest run for risk of storm Friday but this will still chop and change a lot.

“The ensembles in last picture for gusts in Dingle show a lot of possible outcomes.

“Rain trying to push on from West but breaking up, a lot of cloud but fresher in East.”

Today is set to be mainly dry, but there may be isolated patches of light rain, as some clear spells will develop through the night.
