Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Head of Public Relations and Strategy, Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe, has assured that the Black Stars will not give up on qualifying for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament despite their poor start.
The senior national team is at risk of not qualifying for the AFCON tournament for the first time in 20 years after four games without a win.
Otto Addo’s men kicked off their qualifiers with a 1-0 home defeat against Angola before a 1-1 draw against Niger.
In the October round of games, the Black Stars were hoping to return to winning ways with a doubleheader against Sudan. However, the first leg ended goalless at the Accra Sports Stadium before a 2-0 defeat in the return leg.
These results leave Ghana in the 3rd spot in Group F with just two points.
