Leader of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Caucus in Parliament, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has declared that the NDC Caucus will not “bow, retreat nor surrender” its newly acquired majority status in the 8th Parliament.
He said this at a press conference held on Sunday, October 20, 2024, where the NDC reassured Ghanaians of its commitment to safeguarding their “lawfully earned” position.
“We will jealously protect our newly majority status and will not bow, retreat nor surrender our lawfully end status. We will also not abdicate our responsibility to the people of Ghana no matter what. Nothing, absolutely nothing will change this position,” he said.
He further assured Ghanaians that the NDC will remain steadfast in their responsibilities and will use their majority status to benefit the people by introducing private members’ bills to remove the E-Levy, betting tax and other “nuisance taxes”.
