Waukee police: Man dies in single-vehicle crash on Ute Avenue [Video]

WAUKEE, Iowa — A man is dead following a single-vehicle accident in Waukee Sunday night, according to Waukee police. 

Police and fire personnel responded to the accident on Ute Avenue just before 10:40 p.m. Sunday. The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said excessive speed was likely a factor in the accident. 

“The Waukee Police and Fire Department wishes to express our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends affected by this tragic event,” police said in a press release.
