LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Part of South Preston Highway is shut down near South Park Road after a water main break.

It happened Friday morning, between Cooper Avenue and South Park Drive, according to a social media post from the Louisville Water Company. That’s not far from the Gene Snyder Freeway.

Crews are working to repair the break in the 8-inch main, which left the street partially flooded, but there’s no word on how long it will take. Customers in the area may experience reduced water pressure or no water pressure while repairs are in progress, according to the post from Louisville Water.

Louisville Metro Police officers have blocked Preston Highway at South Park, and urge motorists to avoid the area if you can.
