Waste Masters Proud Partner of the Philadelphia Eagles [Video]

This is a Big Deal!The football team is reported to generate an average of 850 tons of waste each year. Since 2012, the organization has made a concerted effort to recycle and compost, diverting 99% of that waste from landfills.

The Philadelphia Eagles signed an extensive multi-year corporate partnership with Waste Masters Solutions in June 2016 as a continued effort with the “Eagles Go Green” initiative. In 2017, Lincoln Financial Field became 100% landfill free!

The Eagles are serious about going green, a few years back they teamed up with NRG Energy, Inc. by installing 14 wind turbines and 11 thousand solar panels – creating the largest solar power plant in the NFL which produces 4 megawatts of energy each year.

The Eagles were awarded LEED certification in 2013 for Lincoln Financial Field from the US Green Building Council particularly for the stadium’s energy and water efficiency, recycling and renewable energy.
