WASHINGTON, Iowa (KCRG) – Two polling locations in Washington County voted with the wrong ballots on the November 5 general election.
The Washington County Auditor‘s Office told KCRG-TV9 ballots had been swapped on accident. People who should not have been allowed to vote on the Highland Community School District bond issue received a ballot with the measure and voted on it.
Another polling place that was supposed to have ballots with the bond question on it, didn‘t have it on the ballot at all. These voters didn’t get the chance to cast their votes on the issue.
The Washington County Auditor’s Office delivered the proper ballots to polling locations in Riverside and Ainsworth. There were two different ballot styles for these locations, and voters were given the incorrect ballots.
