On Monday night, council leaders voted to work with a consulting company to find an interim finance director. The interim would fill in for six to 12 months.
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — In the last year, Warner Robins leaders filled vacancies in some top leadership positions.
They’ve worked to cover public safety with a new fire chief, and are helping the city run smoother with a city administrator.
However, they haven’t hit ‘money’ just yet, as they’ve struggled to hire a finance director.
“We can not ignore the fact that we are not attractive as an employer when you’re finance director would have to sift through papers to find answers,” Mayor LaRhonda Patrick said in 2023.
At the time she shared that they were struggling to look for someone with municipal government experience that would also work with their outdated software.
Since then, the city has worked to bring upgrades to its system.
