Ward 8 councilmember Trayon White was arrested and taken into federal custody Sunday (August 18th) afternoon. The community was alerted by multiple reports of his arrest in Southeast, D.C. after the raid.Also See: Trayon White Calls On National Guard For Help As Violence Increases In DC
Residents at the apartment building where the FBI raided, shared with CBS news their reactions when everything happened. Allegedly, the FBI agents arrested the councilman in one of the penthouse units. The charges pending against White have not been released at this time.
