WAIANAE, Hawaii (Island News) — Consistently concerning crime numbers remain a critical issue on the Waianae Coast.
A love for Waianae Family Day was held Saturday to raise awareness, and help rally the community together.
Waianae Coast student Aela Kaleoakim told Island News, “I have some friends out here, and they get scared a lot, whenever they find out new things going on over here, and out in other places too.”
“Our community needs to be healed, we are one, we are united, we love all, Waianae is strong, we need to stay together”, stated Waianae resident Liza Sprague.
