WACO, Texas — The NAACP’s annual “Souls to the Polls” event was held at the Waco Multi-Purpose Building on Sunday, Oct. 27. This tradition encourages all types of voters to exercise their rights, promotes voting as a civic duty and fosters community through music, food and fellowship.
For decades, “Souls to the Polls” has provided a platform for first-time and seasoned voters to cast their ballots. Dr. Peaches Henry, president of the Waco NAACP, expressed her delight at seeing diverse groups come together to make their voices heard.
