WABI Healthy corner with Eastern Area Agency on Aging [Video]

BREWER, Maine (WABI) – The Durgin Center in Brewer was the topic of discussion during Monday’s Healthy Corner segment.

Community and Development coordinate at EAAA, Christopher Hill, and Dani Street, supervisor for the Durgin Center, were the guests during our Morning News discussion.

Hill said July is a special month for folks at the agency.

“For those who don’t know, July is social wellness month, and it’s really an opportunity for our agency to talk about an issue that may not get enough publicity as far as it relates to isolation of our older community members.”

“We have a variety of programs for our seniors. There are exercise classes from our arthritis program all the way to Tai chi. We also have cards games they can enjoy. Cribbage and bridge are the two most popular ones,” said Street.
