If you have a teenager or young adult, you know social media can bring a host of problems. A false perception of reality is among those. A new study from Gallup and the Walton Family Foundation found Gen Z really struggles with the need to be perfect, plus stress and anxiety.
“It gets a little extreme sometimes,” said Brandy Talley, a mother.
“Nowadays, it’s really about the trend and who dresses the best,” said Indiria Stallworth, a young adult.
Ask almost anyone in Huntsville and they’ll tell you things are different now.
“Everybody wants to have this certain standard, where if they don’t do this, they are not going to get as many views (on social media),” said Jamya Bandy, a young adult.
