CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — For 36 years, HEB’s Feast of Sharing has provided a holiday meal to the Corpus Christi community.
Volunteers signed up to be part of the meal-delivery part of the event, to provide food for those who have disabilities or illnesses that prevent them from leaving their home.
Christine and Dan Strukel have turned a volunteer opportunity into a holiday tradition.
They deliver hot meals to seniors and disabled residents across the Corpus Christi community at HEB’s Annual Feast of Sharing.
“It’s something that you’ll never forget and you have no idea how you can touch someone’s life by just bringing them a meal and smiling and the appreciation that they have to be able to realize there are people that care about them,” Christine said.
