VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Virginia Beach has promised to share knowledge and resources in areas such as offshore wind, workforce development and trade investment with several counties in the United Kingdom.
The city recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the county councils for Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.
The signing of the MOU took place prior to an event held at the U.S. Embassy in London in partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service’s SelectUSA program. The event brought together more than 70 representatives from a diverse range of United Kingdom-based companies interested in expanding in the United States and Virginia Beach.
