Viral North Shore social media stars skits bring Southern Dad, host of characters to life [Video]

HAMMOND, La. (WVUE) – In ages past, those hopeful for stardom used to leave it all behind for Hollywood.

However, as the world of algorithms and social media platforms continues to evolve, stardom can be found in the most unlikely places.

“I’m from Hammond and I was born in Covington,” said digital creator Dane Lindfors, who also goes by “Dane the Greatt” online.

It’s been a couple of years since Lindfors gave up working in Louisiana plants and refineries to create social media content full-time for a living. His content comes in the form of comedy skits where he brings to life “southern” characters based on everyday people he’s observed over time. All skits are written, directed, filmed, and edited by himself and whoever he can rope in as volunteers.
