Vincennes community celebrates ribbon cutting of new VA clinic building | News [Video]

VINCENNES, Ind. (WTHI) – Thursday was the ribbon cutting for a new veterans outpatient clinic in Vincennes.

One representative said that it’s not a new location, but it is a new and improved facility. That’s at 1813 Willow Street.

It’s been open since September, but the official ribbon cutting was on Thursday.

Currently, the clinic serves around 1,700 veterans. Leaders at the clinic say that they hope more people will use the clinic.

“We know there are a lot of veterans who are not using the VA for their healthcare despite having eligibility for that. I think there are about 2,600 veterans in Knox County, in the surrounding counties, that I would love to take care of,” said Zachary Sage, Executive Director of the Marion VA Health Care System.
