Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson says he’ll play Sunday [Video]

Jefferson injured his quad in the third quarter during Minnesota’s 23-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers and never returned.

EAGAN, Minn. — Receiver Justin Jefferson says he’ll “for sure” play on Sunday when the Minnesota Vikings host the Houston Texans.

The All-Pro receiver was a limited participant in practice on Thursday, but was certain about his status during his Thursday press conference.

“Oh, yeah; for sure,” he said.

Jefferson is recovering from a quad injury he sustained in the third quarter during Minnesota’s 23-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Vikings coach Kevin O’Connell said he suffered a quad contusion when he was hit by another player’s leg.

“Feeling pretty good,” said Jefferson, who didn’t return to the game. “Just working out the quad and making sure that it feels good and everything is OK for me to go Sunday. … Every day it feels a lot better.”
