VIENNA, W.Va. (WTAP)—The Vienna Public Library is hosting its annual Food for Fines event through November.
The library is required to offer at least two weeks of assistance a year to people who want to pay back their book fines.
The Food for Fines event allows each person to bring in a non-perishable food item in exchange for one dollar knocked off their book fees.
This event allows the library to help people pay their fees and contribute to solving hunger in Wood County.
