PALM BEACH, Fla. — What’s more shocking than seeing a waterspout at the beach? Seeing two waterspouts at the beach.
Video shared Thursday by the Palm Beach Police Department showed two waterspouts spinning side-by-side.
Stemming from a large dark cloud, the waterspouts can be seen moving closer together before one appears to dissipate.
“Sometimes we are fortunate enough to see interesting weather from a safe distance,” the police department wrote.
If you see a waterspout out on the water, the National Weather Service says to “immediately head at a 90-degree angle from the apparent motion of the waterspout.”
“Never try to navigate through a waterspout. Although waterspouts are usually weaker than tornadoes, they can still produce significant damage to you and your boat,” the NWS adds.
