MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Former Tennessee basketball player and Los Angeles Lakers rookie Dalton Knecht had his first career start with the Lakers on Wednesday.
The Lakers shared a post to social media with the starting lineup, including not only Knecht but also Lebron James, Jaxson Hayes, Austin Reaves and D’Angelo Russell as well.
University of Tennessee basketball head coach Rick Barnes was also in attendance for Knecht’s first start, cheering him on as he put a few points up, scoring a three-pointer for the Lakers.
The Lakers fell to the Memphis Grizzlies, 127-109. Knecht finished the game with four rebounds, two assists and three points on the board.
