UTICA, N.Y. — The Buttenschon Christmas Tree Farm donated 30 Christmas Trees to the Veterans Outreach Center in Utica on Monday morning.
The trees will then be donated to veterans and their families that might not be able to afford one.
Buttenschon Christmas Tree Farm has been donating the trees for about 10 years.
The Veterans Outreach Center provides many programs for the region’s veterans, including housing, suicide prevention, and of course, the Christmas tree program.
Veterans Outreach Center Executive Director Vincent Scalise said the center also provides holiday care packages and that the Christmas trees are a big hit.
Assemblywoman Marianne Buttenschon’s family owns the tree farm, and she says her family is glad to be a part of the program.
