Veterans heading to D.C. for Brookshire’s Heroes Flight [Video]

Along with veterans from World War II and the Korean War, veterans who were in Vietnam War, Gulf War, War in Afghanistan and War in Iraq.

TYLER, Texas — For the first time since COVID-19 pandemic-related pause, the Brookshire Grocery Co. will be taking more than two dozen veterans to Washington D.C. this Monday for its Heroes Flight. 

The veterans will participate in a send-off ceremony on Monday at 7:30 a.m. at the Tyler Pounds Regional Airport. The East Texas community is invited to attend the event held just before the veterans take flight. 

This will be the 20th Brookshire’s and Super 1 Foods Heroes Flight. The program has been relaunched after it was paused during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Along with veterans from World War II and the Korean War, veterans who were in Vietnam War, Gulf War, War in Afghanistan and War in Iraq. The trip is all expenses paid to honor the veterans for their service and sacrifices.
