Veteran gets ramp to help with medical needs | News [Video]

KIMT News Three’s Saral Khare spoke with Terry Lewis on what it means to have the support of the community around him.

ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Albert Lea American Legion Riders Chapter 56 helped out one of their own members Terry Lewis who’s battling Multiple Myeloma Disease which is a type of blood cancer. They installed a ramp for him at his son’s home.

He was diagnosed in 2017. Lewis says after multiple treatments he’s now going to get Car-T Cell Therapy next week at Mayo Clinic. He’s lives in Glenville but he will be moving into his son’s home in Rochester while he’s getting treatment. 

A few months ago he asked the Legion if he could get a ramp. A couple weeks ago they approved the request. Lewis says the ramp will be a big help while he’s getting treatment.
