Vandalism wont stop St. Andrews from spreading the message [Video]

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – Known for its community outreach and garden, a place of worship on the west side of Rapid City has been a target for vandalism.

September 28, a banner of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church was found covered in red spray paint, but that wasn’t the first time someone messed with a banner at the church.

“I’m not sure what’s in people’s minds whether it’s just a random act of mischievousness or whether they’re….they don’t agree with the message,” said Marty Garwood, a deacon at St. Andrew’s Church.

The damaged banner has a rainbow background and reads ‘You are beloved by God.’ But this isn’t the first of the banners. August 20 the original banner was stolen. The second banner was placed just days before being spray painted.
