LA VISTA, Neb. (KOLN) – The Valley Irrigation Valley Center Pivot was named the 2024 “Coolest Thing Made in Nebraska” on Tuesday.
The champion was announced at the NE Chamber’s Manufacturing Summit in La Vista by U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts. The 16 finalists were also invited to display their products at the event.
The Valley Center Pivot, made in Valley and McCook, conserves water, improves crop yields and incorporates cutting-edge technology such as remote management. It’s used in more than 90 countries and helps growers increase food production while conserving natural resources.
“This award is a testament to all the hard work, innovation and dedication our team pours into every single pivot,” Valley Irrigation’s SVP of Product Excellence & Commercialization, Matt Ondrejko said. “Our Center Pivot isn’t just a piece of machinery, it’s a symbol of Nebraska ingenuity and resilience. It represents generations of farmers committed to feeding our world sustainably and efficiently.”
