“This is something to give back to student athletes, raise money for scholarships, for equipment,” said George Payne, director of annual giving at UTPB.

ODESSA, Texas — The University of Texas Permian Basin celebrated Falcon Giving Day on Tuesday.

The 24-hour online giving campaign is an opportunity for the community to come together to support student athletes’ needs both on and off the field.

UTPB raised over $1,000 in the first 30 minutes.

“This is something to give back to student athletes, raise money for scholarships, for equipment, anything they need to be champions on the field, off the field, in the classroom and much more,” said George Payne, director of annual giving at UTPB.
