UT Tyler to address students’ mental health during event [Video]

UT Tyler said educators, school counselors and licensed professional counselors can also earn continuing education credits.

TYLER, Texas — UT Tyler will host its third annual Mental Health Matters Conference later this month to show school leaders, teachers and providers how to support youth mental health.

Presented by the UT Tyler College of Education and Psychology, conference will be held Monday, Nov. 18, in the UT Tyler University Center Ballroom. The event will begin at 9 a.m. with speakers and interactive sessions to provide practical strategies for fostering positive mental health environments and addressing students’ needs, according to the university’s announcement. 

UT Tyler said educators, school counselors and licensed professional counselors can also earn continuing education credits. 

The cost to attend the conference is $75 for general admission, but it’s $10 for current students, and $50 for university supervisors, UT  Tyler alumni and East Texas Center for School-Based Research and Instruction members.
