US Air Force veteran takes helm as La Esperanza chief medical officer [Video]

Dr. Josiah Benjamin Ward, a board-certified pediatrician, served seven years in the US Air Force and was the GAFB Child Development Center medical director.

SAN ANGELO, Texas — Dr. Josiah Benjamin Ward, DO, FAAP, has been appointed by La Esperanza Clinic as its new chief medical officer.

A board-certified pediatrician, Ward served seven years as a physician with the United States Air Force, where he was also the Goodfellow Air Force Base Child Development Center medical director. He was also a pediatrician at Community Medical Associates and Shannon Medical Center. At Shannon, Ward became one of the Concho Valley’s leading providers of virtual medicine in efforts to reduce barriers for patients seeking healthcare.

In April, La Esperanza Clinic opened its third location at 34 Buick St. to provide expanded services, increased appointment availability, and access to state-of-the-art healthcare for the community.
