BEREA, Ohio (WJW) – Urgent Care for mental health has been opened in Lorain County to create accessible behavioral health care services for youth, adolescents, adults and families.
OhioGuidestone announced the opening of Urgent Care for Behavioral Health at 2173 N. Ridge Road thanks to funding from the Mental Health, Addiction & Recovery Services Board of Lorain County.

President and CEO of OhioGuidestone Brant Russell said in a press release that the goal of the new Urgent Care facility is to “alleviate pressure on local emergency resources and fill a gap in access to outpatient care within the community.”
The Urgent Care for Behavioral Health offers an alternative to emergency rooms. It will provide immediate assessments, de-escalation and brief intervention, according to the release.
