Uptown Bay City boutique closing soon, but may keep online store [Video]

BAY CITY, MI – A boutique business with a storefront in Bay City’s Uptown district will be closing its doors later this year, but that doesn’t mean the business will be done entirely.

Mindy Worsley, owner of SoCal Threads, 140 Uptown Drive, said in a reel posted to Facebook and Instagram on July 23 the lease at the business’ current location is up in September, and she does not plan to renew it.

“I’ve known for about six months, so it’s been a really hard secret to tell and to hold onto,” Worsley said in the video.

She described the business as one of her greatest joys – and one of the hardest things she’s ever done. She added she doesn’t know what’s next or whether the shop will remain open in an online capacity.
