BURLINGTON, N.C. (WGHP) — The Burlington Police Department has launched an arson investigation after a convenience store was burned down in a fire.
At around 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 17, officers and the Burlington Fire Department came to the Stop and Shop convenience store on 501 Trollinger Street after getting a report of a building fire.

The store is considered to be a total loss as a result of the blaze.
Investigators say that the fire was intentionally set and remains under investigation.
