MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – FOX10 News is working to learn more details on what led to a deadly head-on crash this weekend.
The mother of the teen killed is speaking out.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency identified the teen as Nolan McDavid,19.
According to ALEA, McDavid and a 17-year-old collided head-on Saturday morning on Alabama 217 near mile marker 13.
That’s just a few miles north of Semmes.
McDavid’s mother Randi Jones says the tragedy has completely rocked their family.
Jones says McDavid graduated from James Madison High School at 16.
She says he then received his associate degree from Coastal Alabama Community College and attended the University of South Alabama.
McDavid described as a silly and loving brother to his siblings will be greatly missed, his mother says.
ALEA says the other driver was injured and taken to a local hospital.
