University of Oklahoma Polytechnic Institute hosts State of OUPI address | News [Video]

TULSA, Okla. — The University of Oklahoma’s Polytechnic Institute hosted its 2nd annual State of OUPI address about the status of their technological programs.

“Today, we’re celebrating the State of the OUPI. We’re reviewing what we’ve done this part year and previewing sort of what’s up for this upcoming year,” explained Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity Christopher Freeze. “OUPI is the University of Oklahoma’s Polytechnic Institute and it was started a couple of years ago and we just finished our first semester in the fall with our first cohort. We’re starting our second semester and we’re focused on teaching the students cybersecurity, software development, integration and applied artificial intelligence.”

Freeze said the program’s goal is to teach students everything they need to know to go into the software and cybersecurity field.
