University Blvd apartment fire in Jacksonville destroys multiple units [Video]

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Three Jacksonville families are being helped by the Red Cross after an apartment fire on University Boulevard displaced them Sunday morning. 

The Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department said in a post on X Sunday they responded to the apartment fire in the 2600 block of University Boulevard North.

The American Red Cross said in a press release three families were displaced in the fire after multiple units were damaged. 

The Red Cross said the families are getting emergency assistance including food, lodging and medical prescription refills.

First Coast News reached out to JFRD for more information about the fire, and are awaiting a response.
