United Way Day of Caring adopts multiple projects in Auburn [Video]

AUBURN, Ky. (WBKO) – The United Way Day of Caring is the largest community-wide volunteer event across Southern Kentucky, serving counties in the Barren River Development District (BRADD). Community volunteers assist with completing projects submitted by nonprofits, schools and faith-based organizations in the region.

In Logan County, the City of Auburn was the location for a number of projects.

“Here at Auburn and all of Logan County, we have an amazing community. They come together and support us in so many different ways. We have just one of the most generous communities that you could have and I’m so thankful for that,” said Hope Strode, Family Resource Youth Service Center (FRYSC) Coordinator for Auburn School.

A team of volunteers from the Accounting department at Logan Aluminum spent the day helping spruce up Auburn Elementary ahead of the August 7 start of the 2024-2025 school year.
