United voices rally for womens rights in Montpelier [Video]

A powerful gathering unfolded on the Statehouse lawn on Saturday as advocates and community members united for the National Women’s Rally. As cheers echoed across the lawn, the atmosphere was charged with passion and purpose.Ceremony coordinator Melinda Moulton, who has been advocating for women’s rights since she was 17, reflected on her commitment while speaking about her granddaughter. “My granddaughter asks, ‘How do you keep doing it?’ And I look at her and say, ‘I’m doing it for you,’” Moulton said.The rally featured many passionate speakers, including Vermont Senator Peter Welch, who highlighted the vital importance of women’s rights. “Women have the right and need to have their power to make decisions about their own bodies,” Welch said.
