A regional community is mourning an “unimaginable tragedy” after a three-year-old boy was found dead following a caravan fire.
Emergency services were called to Lake View Street in Boort, north-central Victoria, about 5.50pm on Thursday after reports a caravan had caught fire.
After firefighters extinguished the blaze, the child’s body was found inside the caravan.

Victoria Police on Friday confirmed the toddler was from the Greater Bendigo area, about one hour’s drive south of Boort.
Arson and Explosives Squad detectives have been called to the scene as the police investigation continues.
