A NEW feature will be coming to Uber Eats soon.
The brand is currently testing the addition with customers in several cities.
Some might see a TikTok-esk short-form video feed on the mobile food ordering platform, per comments from Awaneesh Verma, senior director of product at Uber Eats, told Tech Crunch.
Verma noted that the feature, designed to help restaurants better show their menu items and increase discovery, is being tested in New York City, Toronto, and San Francisco.
A worldwide launch is slated, but Verma would not specify an exact date.
The short-form video content can be seen on the Uber Eats app through widgets on the home screen and other pages that, when clicked on, expand and showcase food and drink items.
