U of I Wildlife Medical Clinic opening volunteer opportunities [Video]

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Starting August 1st, the U of I’s Wildlife Medical Clinic will be opening its doors to those at home.

Anyone 18 and up can volunteer to come into the center every other day or throughout the week to feed the orphaned animals and assist with general care.

The Centers’ Senior Manager Tyson Jenkins said these animals are here to be rehabilitated and sent back into the wild. Every student of U of I could apply to either intern or volunteer here, but it’s now including everyone.

The other opportunity is with its ambassador care team, offering enrichment and general care training for ambassadors. These ambassadors are animals who aren’t able to be released to the wild, so they’re cared for at the Center.
