The Oconee County School District in South Carolina is addressing school threats and announced the arrest of a second student in the district. On Monday night, WYFF News 4 reported that a 13-year-old student had been charged after making threats toward Walhalla Middle School. Read more about that arrest here.On Tuesday the district announced the arrest of another student. In this case, the district said they were told Monday evening about a student making a threatening statement during class at Walhalla High School earlier in the day. School administrators said they worked with the school resource officer and the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office to thoroughly investigate the situation. The parents of the student were notified of the allegations Monday evening and the student did not attend class at any point on Tuesday, the district said.
