In Waterbury on Wednesday evening, the Waterbury Select Board will hold a special meeting to discuss the state’s plans to open an emergency shelter for “Hotel-Motel” families at the Waterbury Armory.This follows the state’s announcement a few weeks ago that it was looking to set up family shelters in Williston, Waterbury, Montpelier and Rutland.Williston leaders said they had been in contact with the state weeks before the announcement, but it was a different story in Waterbury.
