TU’s Latin American Student Association hosts annual Festival De Las Flores for Hispanic Heritage Month | News [Video]

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa University’s Latin American Student Association joined together with the Tulsa community to host their annual Festival De Las Flores in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.

The event offered live music, food trucks, photo booths and piñata making.

“It’s pretty awesome just getting all the community together as well as our Tulsa community and our TU community,” said Alexa Miranda, President of the Latin American Student Association.

Miranda shared this marks the 4th year that this event has been held by the LASA and that the festival has grown every year.

This year, the festival featured performances by local Hispanic artists and bands.

Miranda stated the festival was created by the association as “a way for our students to just enjoy our Hispanic culture and just celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.”
